Central library

  • We would like to announce to our users that since January 25, 2010 till the end of reconstruction of emergency state of the floor in the warehouse of the Central Library, there are some limitations in the possibility of borrowing from our funds. We do not have access and therefore we cannot loan these funds:

o Books with a signature higher than UK-76.295

o Bachelor's, Master's, doctoral and habilitation theses

o The bridle volumes of magazines till the 1999, including the Collection of Laws

o Language dictionaries

o Statistical Yearbooks

o Old textbooks from the Archive

Operation remains unchanged (Mo, Wed: 8 -- 17, Tue, Thu, Fri: 8 -- 14) and it is possible to lend:

o textbooks

o books up to signature UK-76.295

  • Since this academic year, students of Mendel University in Brno pay for the library services 120 CZK only in the first year of each study program, see the Rector's decision No 10/2009.
  • You did not come in time to return book(s) or textbooks in a central library opening hours..? Nothing happens. We offer our users a new service in the form of BiblioBox in building A in the basement, in the corridor between the lending department, study room and the Information Center. You can return these books at any loan place of ISI into the signed opening, we will collect them on the next working day and we will sign out the books in the automated loan system. You can control it in online catalogue.
  • You can propose a purchase of study literature for the central Library and Information centre fund here

  • In new spaces of building A (basement next to the study room, entrance from the courtyard), a new library of fiction has been opened. We look forward to your visit.
