Admission procedure

General regulations for admission to studies in study programmes are commenced upon by § 48 and § 49 of the Act No. 111/1998. Other admission regulations to studies in the study programmes accomplished by faculties under the § 49 of the Act are designated by the university and the particular faculty's status. The Dean determines the conditions of admission procedure and decides on admission to studies.

Faculty of Agronomy

A) Bachelor study programmes

  • results from higher education in last 2,5 years,
  • furthermore, applicants for distance study have to prove minimum two-year working experience,
  • international applicants may be invited to conduct an entrance examination.

B) Master's study programmes

  • maximum 50 % of all applicants can be admitted without an entrance examination based on their study results,
  • others - test from subjects within state final examination,
  • applicants for Agrobusiness - test from Economics and Technologies in Agricultural Production.

Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology

Bachelor study programmes

  • Forestry, specialization Forestry - Mathematics and Biology.
  • Forestry, specialization Economy and Management of Renewable Natural Recourses - Biology and English.
  • Forestry, specialisation Arborists - Biology.
  • Landscaping -  Mathematics and Biology.

  • Furniture - Aptitude test.

Master's study programmes

  • Forest Engineering - Forest Ecology, Forest management, Methods for Basic Manufacturing Processes in Forestry.
  • Landscape Engineering - Landscape Ecology and Geobiocoenology, Cultivation, Establishment and Protection of Wood Vegetation, Landscape Development and Geoinformatics, Hydro-technical Buildings, and Economics.

Faculty of Horticulture

Bachelor study programmes

  • Horticultural Technologies, Horticulture Engineering and Horticulture - results from higher education in last 3,5 years and results from school leaving examination.
  • Landscape Architecture - Aptitude test and test from Biology in the first round, oral examination in the second round.

Master's study programmes

  • Horticulture Engineering
    • specialisation Horticulture - Plant Biology, Horticulture, Economic Discipline,
    • specialisation Management of Horticulture Technology -- Biotechnology in Horticulture, Quality of Plant Food Sources, Viticulture and Winemaking.
